Plot:

Trama:

La diciassettenne Ismae scappa dalla brutalità di un matrimonio combinato nel santuario del convento di St. Mortain, dove le suore ancora servono gli dei del passato. Qui Ismae scopre che il Dio della Morte in persona, l'ha benedetta con doni pericolosi e un violento destino. Se sceglierà di restare al convento, sarà istruita come assassina e servirà come Ancella della Morte. Per rivendicare la sua vita, dovrà distruggere quella degli altri.

Il compito più importante di Ismae la porta direttamente alla Corte Reale di Gran Bretagna, dove si ritrova impreparata, non solo per i giochi mortali di intrighi e tradimenti, ma anche per le scelte impossibili che si ritroverà a fare. Come può portare a termine la vendetta della Morte, verso qualcuno, che contro la sua volontà, le ha rubato il cuore?

La trama è molto intrigante...
